Compare Services LLC operates the Affiliate Program in connection with Compare Power LLC, which operates the website and call center where customers enroll in electricity services.

By registering for and participating in the Affiliate Program, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not participate in the Affiliate Program.

When you register for the Affiliate Program, we collect:

  • Communication Data: Information you provide when communicating with us, including support inquiries and feedback

Information Collected Automatically

When you use our Affiliate Platform, we automatically collect:

  • Tracking Data: Information about affiliate referrals, clicks, conversions, and customer enrollments through tracking pixels, cookies, and URL parameters
  • Usage Data: Information about how you access and use the Platform, including IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and time spent on pages
  • Performance Data: Affiliate performance metrics, commission data, and campaign analytics
  • Cookie Data: Information collected through cookies and similar tracking technologies

Customer Data

Depending on your affiliate type and agreement, we may provide you with limited customer information post-transaction, which may include:

You are prohibited from using any customer data for purposes other than those specified in your affiliate agreement.

Managing Cookies

Third-Party Tracking

Our affiliate platform management provider, Post Affiliate Pro, uses its own cookies and tracking technologies to manage redirects and track affiliate performance. Post Affiliate Pro's use of your information is governed by their privacy policy, which can be found at www.postaffiliatepro.com.

How We Share Your Information

Service Providers

We share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf:

  • Post Affiliate Pro: Our affiliate platform management software provider
  • Ramp: Our payment and tax compliance provider
  • Stripe: Our payment processor
  • SignNow: Our electronic signature provider
  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to analyze Platform usage and performance

These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.

Compare Power LLC

As Compare Services LLC operates the Affiliate Program in connection with Compare Power LLC, we may share affiliate and customer data with Compare Power LLC as necessary to process customer enrollments, verify commission eligibility, and coordinate affiliate program operations.

Legal Requirements and Protection

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process, requests from government authorities, emergency situations involving potential harm, or suspected fraud and security issues.

Business Transfers

If Compare Services LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or other business transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and the choices you may have regarding your information.

Data Retention

Active Accounts

We retain your affiliate account information for as long as your account is active and you participate in the Affiliate Program.

After Termination

After your affiliate account is terminated or you cease participation in the Program, we retain certain information as follows:

  • Commission and Payment Records: Retained for at least seven (7) years to comply with tax and financial record-keeping requirements
  • Authorization and Verification Records: Retained for at least twenty-four (24) months in compliance with Texas Public Utility Commission regulations
  • Legal or Compliance Records: Retained as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements

Deletion Requests

You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal and regulatory obligations. We will respond to deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.

You may opt out of receiving promotional emails from us by following the unsubscribe instructions in those emails or by contacting us. Please note that even if you opt out of promotional communications, we will still send you transactional messages related to your affiliate account and the Affiliate Program.

Account Closure

You may close your affiliate account at any time by contacting us. Upon closure, we will retain certain information as described in the Data Retention section.

Do Not Track

Our Platform does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals from web browsers.

Texas Energy Market Compliance

As our Affiliate Program operates in connection with the Texas deregulated electricity market, we comply with applicable Texas Public Utility Commission rules, including:

  • Customer Protection: We maintain safeguards to protect customer information and prevent unauthorized enrollment practices
  • Record Retention: We retain authorization and verification records for at least 24 months as required by Texas regulations
  • Data Verification: We collect and verify customer information in accordance with Texas enrollment requirements
  • Language Preferences: We accommodate customer language preferences as required by Texas regulations

Affiliates must comply with all applicable Texas energy market regulations and customer protection rules in their marketing and customer acquisition activities.

Geographic Restrictions

The Affiliate Program is available only to participants located in the United States. We do not knowingly collect information from or target individuals outside the United States. If you are located outside the United States, please do not use the Platform or provide us with any information.

Children's Privacy

The Affiliate Program is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you are under 18, please do not register for the Affiliate Program or provide any information to us.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
  • Post the revised policy on our Platform
  • Notify you of material changes via email or through a prominent notice on the Platform

Your continued participation in the Affiliate Program after we post changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
